A little legendary jazz with your wine? Jonathan Greenberg and Steve Young are two of jazz's most notorious legends living in Virginia. While Jonathan's trumpet accolades are far to long to list in full, it is worth mentioning that he was trained in the jazz capital of the world, the Big Apple of New York, where he was seasoned as a player in Broadway pit orchestras and played for such acts as Guys & Dolls, South Pacific, and Fiddler on the Roof. His jazz ascension continued from there, and he soon become a regular player with such legendary groups as the O'Jays, Temptations, Coasters, Drifters, the Blues Brothers and Tidewater Jazz All-Stars.
Joining Jonathan on the guitar is Steve Young, another local jazz legend in his own right. He got his playing stripes in the army corps, practicing assiduously for his three years of service before putting himself through music school. After receiving his masters in jazz from the New England Conservatory of Music, Jonathan's jazz career took off. He has since played throughout the east coast with many of the most recognizable jazz players and composers in the world, recording solo albums, composing, and keeping himself grounded – he regularly plays for veterans groups and homeless shelter charity events.
This is going to be an amazing performance. C'mon out and let's get jazzy!
